Why is your quercetin any better than Thorne’s quercetin with phytosomes?
Liposomes have their active ingredient inside the hydrophilic cavity or within the layers of membranes while in phytosomes, those components are a part of the membrane itself.
Phytosomes are a more crude “”mix”” of phospholipids and payload. They do aid absorption in the GI tract, but are much larger and filtered out by the liver before reaching systemic circulation.
Liposomes are precisely engineered with the payload inside the membrane, to better protect the payload from degradation. Ours are very tiny – less than 50 nM, so do not get filtered out by the liver and can deliver the payload to the bloodstream, to reach far beyond the GI tract that is the target for Phytosomes.
