From what I can tell having read all the threads on rapamycin.news, those who need to lose blubber as you put it do so due to appetite being curbed and when its gone it appears to stay off.  Furthermore, a lot of the people there are also taking Acarbose (I've started it as well) as one doesn't have...

Having tried several times I can't get beyond a 3 day fast, therefore, I now just take the drug Rapamycin for the same effect, in the form of the generic Sirolimus, once a fortnight. The fibre in fruit (and veg) protects against any blood sugar spike...as long as its fresh fruit and not dried (% of sugar in dried is way higher) or juiced (all the fibre is lost).

NLS - don't use the juicer as you lose all the fibre and end up having too much sugar saturation.

Indeed, no anti-aging benefits, however, relief from joint aches and pains makes it well worthwhile.

Apparently, one lot of gut bacterial like the dark chocolate at lunchtime as per their circadian rhythm, and a different group like it in the evening. 
I take one square of 100% dark at lunchtime and one at dinner time. 
As pickleball says, keeps the little buggers quiet!!
