Interview with fisetin/Mayo lead scientist James Kirkland

Super interesting interview presentation with Mayo Fisetin Study lead scientist James Kirkland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mD-wupqvQE Some points that stood out to me: He says it's still possible that removing senescent cells may play both positive and negative roles in ways we don't yet under...

nf-kb as master regulator of the aging process

According to this chart, NF-kb is a regulator of a TON of the aging process. And it just so happens that Sirt1 and Sirt6 (increased by NAD+) are NF-kb inhibitors. Makes me want to look into what other ways there hard to inhibit NF-KB https://twitter.com/Orlando_uy/status/1416024924322516995?s=20 htt...

Re: For the experts: Fasting relates to Rapamycin (or mTor). Does NMN also?

NMN doesn't directly affect mTOR (like fasting or rapamycin), but NAD+ Sirtuins AMPK and mTOR are all connected to each other in ways that I don't really get.

Re: Mayo Clinic Human Trial using Fisetin

Given that gray hair and aged skin (aside from sun damage) is in part due to senescent melanocytes, I'm curious if anyone here has experienced or has read about others experiencing visible changes due to senolytic treatments. Presumably it would be possible.

Re: Mayo Clinic Human Trial using Fisetin

Did the Mayo plan 2 more times since my last post in this thread. I can report that both recent times I felt somewhat "hungover" for 2 days afterwards. Tired, headaches, areas that are normally sore feeling extra sore. But after 2 days, everything cleared up and felt great.

Re: Special Forces testing Meteobiotech’s new NAD+ Precursor

It seems like Metrobiotech is mostly working on their own special precursor they're calling MIB-626 for now, but I think has also been described as "a proprietary formulation of the crystalline form of b-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN)"
