Special Forces testing Meteobiotech’s new NAD+ Precursor

Special Operations Command  expects to move into clinical trials next year of a pill that may inhibit or reduce some of the degenerative affects of aging and injury — part of a broader Pentagon push for “improved human performance.” SOCOM is using  Other Transaction Authority (OTA)  funds to partne...

Re: NMN and reversing hearing loss

I know there is research showing NMN can protect against hearing loss, but this is interesting to think that it may be able to improve existing hearing loss.

Re: David Sinclair Touts Benefits of Fisetin in Tweet About New COVID Study

Recently listened to his interview on the Lex Friedman podcast. Fascinating as always! But I have to feel like he seemed less optimistic about the effects of currently available interventions. He mentioned that someone who began in their 20s doing everything “right” based on what’s available today w...

Re: New Mayo Clinic Human Trial More Than Doubles Fisetin Protocol Dose

Not too much to report, to be honest. The days after taking the fisetin, I had more ringing in my ear than usual and also more soreness in the joints that sometimes give me issues. I’d like to imagine that this is from my body clearing senescent cells in those damaged areas but who knows really? Abo...

Re: New Mayo Clinic Human Trial More Than Doubles Fisetin Protocol Dose

Good to see this, I was a little concerned taking a whole bottle of fisetin in 2 days but I didn’t have any ill effects. Apparently it’s safe to go even higher.

Re: If I take 500mg per day at 52, how much at 82?

Short of having a good way to measure nad+ levels, the best move at this point is to find the dose from 250 to 1500 that leaves you feeling the best. Don’t go over 1500 because there is some evidence there is a U shaped response curve that begins to give negative feedback somewhere around those leve...

Re: Stressed vegetables... wha ?

It’s probably more of a biology nerd thing than useful application, but it turns out that a lot of the compounds that are healthy for humans that come from vegetables are also the ones that plants produce under difficult growing conditions. Basically to compensate for difficult growing conditions, t...

Re: NMNs has TMG? Had no idea.

Does the ratio of tmg to nmn seem to be about right? Maybe I don’t need to take my tmg separately.

Re: Using CRISPR to reprogram cells to a younger state

I don't think Big Pharma is hiding anything in a nefarious way, but the drug development and approval system in the US has grown to the level that the average drug costs LITERALLY $1 BILLION to get approved. Nobody but the largest pharma companies can afford that process and choosing which drugs to ...

Re: My grandma has been secretly taking 5000mg+ of NMN SL per day.

There is some evidence from mouse studies that there is such a thing as too much where you no longer get the benefit of supplementation. I think the last time we dug into it, it seemed like the point of "too much" was around 1500mg - 2000mg daily.
