According to Sinclair, you'll want to use Trans-Reveratrol as it is a better form and you'll want to take it with yogurt. Something about the fat in yogurt that helps it absorb into the system better.

As far as brand, I use "We Like Vitamins" Trans-Reveratrol on Amazon. Tons of great reviews and is also the best price I have found yet. I take one 1,000 mg capsule per day with yogurt. Hope this helps.

Thank you David. A good read. I remember reading it when it came out but reading it again now as I´m thinking of ordering micronized trans-resveratrol from Megaresveratrol (used in several human clinical studies). It seems that the salutary effects on metabolic syndrome appear when reaching a dose of at least 500 mg. Reading the literature a dose of 500-1000 mg seems to have some effects in humans on cerebral blood flow, glucose and inflammation.

I still haven´t found conclusive data on dosing with regards to one dose per 24 h with food as Dr. Sinclair is doing or twice a day dosing with meals. Anyone knows of a paper arguing one way or the other with regards to pharmacokinetics and time of dosing?

Drdavid.
You attach the articles to your post and then
“walk away, so to speak” which allows the forum member to choose to read the article and then form their own opinion. The proper procedure in my view.
Thanks again.

Fred,
I use the micronized transresveratrol and have been happy. I have not found any conclusive data on the one dose with food either. I think that Dr. Sinclair is on the leading edge of his field and sometimes uses his personal responses and regimens as scientific fact. If you find any data I would appreciate seeing it.

Sure, I´ll do. Since 1000 mg twice a day has been tested in absorption studies I´m thinking we don´t have to split a 1 g dose into two 0.5 g doses unless GI distress occurs (the most common side effect of resveratrol).

Hey Fred. Thanks for pointing them out. They have test results showing purity but do not mention any heavy metal content.

I asked Bulk Supplements for their testing documentation and this is what they sent. I think I would like to do the tablet way for now and see how these things pan out. I am on NR from TruNiagen but think I am going to switch over to NMN and add TransReservatrol from MegaReservatrol or AliveByNature. Both sell it. I am suprised that I have not seen their documentation on their products on this forum.

Here is their report from my Drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_EgW ... VqOHNYTlRR

I agree with most, we need a recommendation for NMN and Reservatrol from a company that will provide test results for both products.
