Here is a general survey of many many studies showing the importance of riboflavin.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7037471/

Very interesting!

I noticed that it also is a molecule like NMN and NAD, it forms, FMN and FAD.

Now that gets me wondering if it is a stable moecule or you can just get it at the pharmacy. Although the studies would likely not have produced results otherwise.

It supports methylation.
It helps prevent oxidative stress.
It helps to prevent cataracts.
It helps to prevent preeclampsia.
It is used to burn fat or carbs to create energy.
It lowers homocysteine, which may protect against heart disease and cancer.
It helps keep blood pressure under control.
It helps absorb and utilise iron, so helps to prevent anaemia.

I use to take Riboflavin (B2) some time ago and after reading RobSmith’s contribution to this thread I think I will go back onto it..
Thanks RobSmith 👍

That is cool. I guess it is metabolized the same way as NMN and Nad?

So where is the best place to get this? Just off the shelf?

I buy mine straight off the shelf. Natures Own brand. I’m not sure if it’s available in the US...

There are alot of studies on B2 but also B1. From what Ive read and different podcast ive listened to it seems when we isolate the individual B vitamin by itself and take it seems to work way better than taking a multiple B vitamin. Im currently running 600mgs of B1 daily and its helping with breaking down any carbs I eat throughout the day.

Well that's good. I eat a lot of egg and salmon each week.
