I guess the question should also be ask:
Along with a lot of other medical prognosis.
Is GERD a disease in itself or only a Symptom of some other underlying condition?
It may be the same for Sleep Apnea. I know an English Doctor that practiced in the UK and he told me he only ever saw patients with Sleep Apnea symptoms one or twice a year over there but here in Australia he is seeing 3 to 4 patients a week with the condition??
Environmental or some other type of influence??? Go figure....

At the moment I'm trying the ACV treatment. I'll see how it goes after a month.

I also agree that is great advice,

why is it that, too often, the GP does not want to send you to a specialist for matters I have returned to the doctor time and time again with no luck from what they are prescribing duding the first visits?

I have not felt any change by using the PEMF mat/pad/wand whatsoever.
but tomorrow bill be the real test to see if there have been improvements. heres' to hoping!

It is called cost control. By not referring you out to a specialist the system saves money. Now you as a patient may suffer, get worse and sometimes even die but the system saves money. Isn't this model fantastic?

is this a real thing?? wouldn't this be a demerit towards that doctor? would the doctor not want to do what he can within his power to treat and help the patient so that he could not be liable to the death of a patent? would questions not be asked towards the doctor as to why the appropriate steps were not followed?

Yes.
Unfortunately the medical system, like a lot of industry is all about the “holy dollar”
10 min consultations and bulk billing to the government are part of the norm.
Take pathology out of play and the average Physician is in the dark..
How does a doctor determine a history in 10 minutes, where not so long ago they would sit on the side of your bed and discuss symptoms or issues for an hour or so by way of a home visit...
Maybe the “oath” that they take needs to be
re-evaluated....

As a society we have allowed business to come before medicine. Now MBAs run the hospital and doctors not medically trained personnel. When you have people that are worried about the dollar and not so much about the patient you get these results. A paradigm shift needs to occur in order for the health system to actually start preventing disease.
