B12 supplementation, to my knowledge, is only warranted when taking metformin. There are no reports of B12-deficiency due to berberine in the literature.

8/10/19 - Red Yeast Rice 1200 mg

I am looking to take berberine and am wondering how often i should take it.
i am taking berberine 250 mg about twice daily, and the bottle suggests 500mg twice daily.

I am also skipping one or 2 days per week.

CeeJayBee the Berberine can make you alittle nauseous so i would start where you are for about a week or two and then bump up to 1g per day. You should see similar effects as Metformin.

Since we are talking about things other than NAD+ etc here, I thought I would share this news article, which if it proves out, could be absolutely huge:

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/why-t ... 2019-10-28

I don't know about you, but while I wait for confirmation, I am switching my BP med to night from morning! Can anyone on the forums verify the veracity of this report?

Operative results post from article:
"according to research published this month in the peer-reviewed European Heart Journal." And,
"The researchers found that patients who took their medication at bedtime reduced by 45% their risk of dying from or suffering heart attacks, myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure or requiring a procedure to unblock narrowed arteries, compared to those who took their medication after waking up in the morning.

The risk of death from heart or blood vessel problems was reduced by 66%, the risk of myocardial infarction was reduced by 44%, coronary revascularization (unblocking narrowed arteries) by 40%, heart failure by 42%, and stroke by 49%. However, the researchers noted there are no studies showing that treating hypertension in the morning reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease."

and the main study the report above is based on:

I have changed my regimen in the last month. I now take 375mg nmn sublingual every other day along with a hard workout. I also take 1 gram of metformin on the off days I don't take nmn. Sunday I take no supplements, but add another workout. This seems to be working very well for my 160 lb body. I found increasing my nmn past this dosage is a little much for me with almost a caffeine effect on my brain at 500mg plus. This also seems to keep the "boosting" effect going as my body seems to have time to metabolize the supplements fully. We'll see how it goes as this is my first big change in about 6 months.
