It is important to know why you have GERD. Have you been formally diagnosed?

I think so. This has been ongoing for about 30 years. I was initially prescribed proton pump inhibitors for a small peptic ulcer and was taking them on and off for many years. Eventually I took myself off them entirely as they seemed to be doing more harm than good (food wasn't being fully digested). The symptoms I had initially were a constant nagging hungry feeling in my stomach and pain in my stomach when I lay on my right side. Those symptoms have since gone. The only symptom of consequence I have now is a constant urge to swallow. Particularly when laying down. Also a taste of acid coming from my stomach. Although I don't get heartburn as such. I believe it's called silent gerd.

Vandevalk1.
Have you had the new X-ray taken of your arm as yet. We are all interested to see if there has been improvement in the healing of the break by way of the PEMF treatment..

New age, 1 more week to the day until my next X-ray. I am interested to see as well. Unfortunately my pain is still quite high.

Sounds like you need a good physical exam and maybe some diagnostics to figure out what is going on. Dont guess rather test!p75213 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 5:30 amI think so. I've been to specialist doctors over the years. All they want to do is prescribe proton pump inhibitors. No more.
Re: PEMF( Pulsed Electromagnet Field Therapy)
I have seen the following work for some people.
NAD+ Sublingual Tablets
NMN Sublingual Tablets
Apple cider vinegar (mother)
Lemon in water
Alkaline Water
Possibly include PEMF Therapy
What have you got to lose, you do not seem happy with the prescription medication.
I assume when ever you stop the proton pump inhibitors the symptoms return?
Re: PEMF( Pulsed Electromagnet Field Therapy)
Prescribing is the easy part the hard part is the diagnosis. We have become soft in the northern hemisphere and have left the world of physical exam and interview for diagnostic tools. These tools are expensive and many times provide confusing results.
I recommend that you see a physician that specializes in wellness medicine. You will receive a detailed interview and exam to determine why you are having GERD (if this is even GERD) and then discuss ways that you can restore your body to homeostasis. Diagnostic tests can be ran if the physician feels they need further information to rule out/in a specific diagnosis.
