Study finds "A lifetime of regular exercise slows down aging"

Post by OzSport »

Check out this short and sharp article about consistent exercising slowing down aging!

Summary from the article: "A group of older people who have exercised all of their lives, were compared to a group of similarly aged adults and younger adults who do not exercise regularly. The results showed that those who have exercised regularly have defied the aging process, having the immunity, muscle mass, and cholesterol levels of a young person."

A good informative post OzSport.
As you say short and sharp and to the point.
It does again reinforce the significant benefits of continuous exercise as we age..

This should surprise nobody, but there should be a qualification of what daily or regular exercise is.

I think it should consist of at least 20 minutes aerobic state (elevated heart rate). I think you gotta sweat.

Also weight bearing exercise of the same length of time, for bone density and anti-inflammation.
