This is a shocking result. If it holds true, it would be the most powerful intervention we ever have seen.

Plasma fraction treatment consists of two series of IV injections, four times on alternate days for 8 days. A 2nd series of injections were given 95 days later. The epigenetic clocks reversal was: liver 75%, blood 66%, heart 57%, hypothalamus 19%. Average rejuvenation across four tissues was 54.2%.

The plasma fraction is from Nugenics, a commercial company, and they didn't reveal the exact content of the "plasma fraction" they used.

Of course, this all hinges on the accuracy of Horvath's custom epigenetic clock. Also the FDA has stated that plasma from young people offers “no proven clinical benefit” as a treatment against aging or Alzheimer’s disease.

It is exciting to know that science is exploring these different types treatments to reverse aging. I think we are very close to having a viable treatment available to the public for those interested in becoming younger and healthier. :D

It is probably going to benefit any older mammal to get complete blood transfusion from a younger source.

Yeah... It is really too good to be true... The paper hasn't gone through peer review yet, so we will see.

If it ever does, this would be a game changer!

Here is the comment on the paper above.

"Overall, I still find such results hard to believe, but at the same time they seem to be showing up from multiple experiments. "

It seems that they are saying any results would only be short lived at best. :(

This type of therapy is indeed radical but the results would be dramatic.

K am wondering if they will soon be able to multiply a small amount of plasma in the same way they can multiple DNA using PCR (polymerase chain reaction).

That way it would not depend on a heavy donor supply.

PCR is extremely accurate. It can make exact duplicates of large strands of dna.

This would be a trillion dollar technilogy if it ever emerged.

But what if the process were repeated regularly?
