Found myself with a bit less stress and slightly less obligations for a few days, so I thought, why not? Try a 7 day fast.

I allow myself up to 500 calories per day and very little protein.

Since i am near the end of day 2... i have some idea that i may make it.

“Mind over Matter” TedB..
Hang in there, the first 2 days are the hardest and then the body starts to quickly adapt.

So you can have up to 500 calories per day while fasting?

Why very little protein?

A while ago we had lengthy discussions about a fast that can trigger rapamycin. It was to be at least 5 days and we had a well versed dietitian advising us that we should limit our protein intake to 15 grams per day during the fast.

I haven't gotten further than 2 days myself, but i am gradually rotating the meals I fast and the days I fast - i suppose partly to keep my body guessing, and also because it is a very big thing to fast for 5 days.

I hope you get this done, more power to you - but i think the big thing is to keep fasting a part of your life.

Well this is day 5 and it was easy so far, but yesterday was tough.

I do let myself have soup twice a day... and a nibble of peameal bacon or cheese.

I may as well go for the next 2 days.

Not my idea of fun, but i believe it will be worth it for my health in a big way.

Thats awesome and Im sure you have achieved Autophagy. Im coming off a three day fast myself and the key is to not go crazy and eat whatever you desire. I try to do the Keto route with an occasional cheat meal.
