Just Learning about NAD+

Post by indigo27 »

I’m new to this page and had never heard of NAD until a few weeks ago when I overheard a short conversation about it in a health food store and became curious to learn the benefits it can provide. I searched for a NAD Facebook page and joined this one. I read the comments on this page and realize there are other supplements that need my attention as well but to be honest I feel like I need some guidance. If you can provide some direction I thank you in advance. I will be 60 in two months and I’m always looking for ways to better my health and my mind.

Two interviews. 1. Rich Roll interviews Dr Sinclair. 2. Joe Rogan interviews Dr Sinclair. Both are two plus hours. Search youtube. Both are excellent. Donna & Marlena

Yes Dr. Sinclair has been researching the link between calorie restriction, diet exercise and longevity for decades, this eventually led to the discovery to the compounds that are produced by this behavior and eventually to the testing of the effect of these compounds on health.

I am sure he has a Ted talk, but here is part of the interview he did with Joe Rogan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noxYge8QERU

The most recent Ted talk was Sidney July 2018 for Dr. Sinclair. I have put a link to the talk below. Definitely worth the time to listen to any of these talks.

Here's the most detailed review of NAD+ research that I have found:

Role of NAD+ and related Precursors as Therapeutic Targets for
Age-related Degenerative Diseases: Rationale, Biochemistry,
Pharmacokinetics, and Outcomes

That is one of the most comprehensive reviews I've seen so far. I've read it twice and I'll probably go back to it again.

When I go to this link some type of cover page comes up in what I assume is Russian or similar.
Anyone else experience this??

Yes, sci-hub is a Russian site that hacks into American publishing companies to provide you free access to science papers.

You can also buy the paper directly from the publishers if you want to.
