Anyone else feeling less anxiety?

Post by Jeffred68 »

Hi everyone,

I have been using the sublingual NMN tablets for a couple of months, but recently I decided to complement this with the NAD+ nasal spray.

Well, I have been taking between 100mg and 200mg NAD+ daily for the past four days, and I have noticed a change in how my body reacts to stressful stimuli which would typically lead to that anxious feeling we get in our stomach. Now, I am by no means an anxious personality type, and my work involves some of the most stressful situations a person has to endure.

It's the little daily situations that would occasionally elicit the response, and now it seems to be absent.

I have to agree. NMN by its interaction stimulates energy levels in the body but seems to make for a more passive mind set when under pressure or caught up in a Flight or Fight scenario.
Decision making seems to be more definite with black or white outcomes more easily reached with less effort. All being beneficial in the world that we now live in...

Anxiety is a multifaceted condition with several potential causes. However, it has been found that NAD+ therapy can potentially reduce anxiety levels. The science of how NAD+ exactly does this is still a little fuzzy. Here is what we do know without going into a long biochemistry lesson. NAD+ plays a significant role in improving cellular function, repairing mitochondrial damage, reducing oxidative stress and decreasing inflammation. Each of the above can be linked to anxiety and symptoms of anxiety. Additionally, NAD+ can improve brain function through healthy function of the neurotransmitters in your brain.
NAD+ can help improve anxiety but each individual will respond differently and therefore no signal treatment plan is guaranteed to resolve anxiety. However, NAD+ therapy can work alone or in conjunction with other therapies to help reduce the symptoms of anxiety.
Because NAD+ is so effective at improving cellular function and reducing oxidative stress it makes since that you are able to handle stressful situations better. Your cellular physiology is better prepared and can now adapt to the stress that you encounter every day.

Anxiety is a big one but one has to be quite in tune with oneself to answer that question accurately. But unbelievably last night I think felt a reduction in my anxiety levels (going to acro-yoga, in the dark, in a new city, for the second time with a vision and hearing impairment). Ive recently done acting training so I have learned better how to tune into these feelings. This is so big if it continues like this because anxiety keeps us from doing sooooo much.

I interested to see how others feel it may have effected them also,,,

I agree that you have to be tuned in to really see differences in your anxiety levels. There are psychological surveys that can quantify changes in anxiety. I think that as you move forward with the product you will notice more positive results. Let us know when these results occur.

I'm curious about the anxiolytic effects - is this general feedback with the NAD nasal spray?

Psychological tools used to assess anxiety is a good place to start...might make good study...
I personally find these instruments a little blunt but I should persist. The way I find I am presently noticing changes using NAD+ and NMN is through brief wow moments of performance, "I remember be able to do or feel like this years ago". But then find I adapt quickly to what I expect my body and mind to be able to do.
Baseline measures would be useful in this regard...

Abstract
BACKGROUND:
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) may be depleted in chronic fatigue syndrome (SFC). The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of supplementation with NADH in these patients.
MATERIAL AND METHODS:
A double blind, placebo controlled, 3 month long clinical trial was conducted. The patients were randomized to oral NADH oral 20mg or placebo during the first two months. The intensity of the fatigue, functional performance, mood state, functional impact of the fatigue, quality of life, sleep quality, exercise capacity and functional reserve as well as the investigator's and patient's opinion on the efficacy of the intervention prior to and at 30, 60 and 90 days of the onset of the treatment were evaluated. A stress test was performed in the baseline visit and at 60 days (last day of the double blind treatment).
RESULTS:
A total of 86 patients, 77 of whom completed the study (mean age, 47 years, 72 women) were enrolled. No significant differences were found in most of the variable studied at the end of the study. Administration of NADH was associated to a decrease in anxiety condition of -1.0 points (p<0.05) and of -0.2 points (p=NS) in the placebo assigned group. Maximum heart rate after the stress test decreased a mean of -8.1l/min (p<0.05) in the NADH group and increased by +1.7l/min in the placebo group (p=0.73). No differences were found in the perception of efficacy with NADH and placebo, by the investigator and patients.
CONCLUSIONS:
Administration of oral NADH was associated to a decrease in anxiety and maximum heart rate, after a stress test in patients with CFS. On the contrary, this treatment did not modify other clinical variables and the global functional performance.

Yes baseline measurements are very helpful for the researchers but most patients just care about improved quality of life. You are correct that we tend to forget where we started and only remember we are. I can say that if you use NAD+ you will see changes in your life. Whether these changes are subtle or gross they still improve life.

it may be anecdotal, but i do find my anxiety is reduced within a short time of using NAD+ nasal.

i also equate having more motivation to having less anxiety, but that is just a personal observation.
