B12 supplementation, to my knowledge, is only warranted when taking metformin. There are no reports of B12-deficiency due to berberine in the literature.NewLifeScience wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 8:44 pm And as Fred mentioned, take your B12 as metformin/berberine seems to cause one to be deficient in B12
i am taking berberine 250 mg about twice daily, and the bottle suggests 500mg twice daily.
I have changed my regimen in the last month. I now take 375mg nmn sublingual every other day along with a hard workout. I also take 1 gram of metformin on the off days I don't take nmn. Sunday I take no supplements, but add another workout. This seems to be working very well for my 160 lb body. I found increasing my nmn past this dosage is a little much for me with almost a caffeine effect on my brain at 500mg plus. This also seems to keep the "boosting" effect going as my body seems to have time to metabolize the supplements fully. We'll see how it goes as this is my first big change in about 6 months.
