What Is an HSA or FSA?
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) let you set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified healthcare expenses. Because the money is never taxed, you effectively get more purchasing power — most customers save an average of 30% compared to paying out of pocket.

Can I pay with my HSA/FSA card directly at checkout?
Yes. Complete the Truemed health assessment on any product page before placing your order. Once approved, your HSA/FSA card will appear as a payment option at checkout — no reimbursement paperwork required. This is the fastest way to use your pre-tax benefits. Note: if you are signed into Shop Pay, log out and check out as a guest for the Truemed payment option to appear.
What if I already placed my order without completing the health assessment?
You can still qualify for reimbursement. Click "Get Reimbursed" on the Thank You page immediately after checkout, or click "Qualify Here" in the line "This order might be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement" in your order confirmation email. If approved, Truemed will issue a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and receipt that you submit to your HSA/FSA administrator to claim your reimbursement. The assessment should be completed the same day as your purchase.
What is the Truemed health assessment?
The Truemed health assessment (also called a clinical intake form) is a short, private questionnaire reviewed by independent, licensed clinicians. It determines whether your purchase qualifies as a medical expense under IRS guidelines. It takes under 2 minutes and is available directly on our product pages.
Does everyone qualify?
Not everyone will qualify. Eligibility is determined by Truemed's independent, licensed clinicians based on your individual health profile. Renue by Science does not determine or guarantee eligibility — that is handled entirely by Truemed.

Can I use my HSA/FSA on a subscription?
Yes. Subscriptions follow the reimbursement flow — pay for your subscription with a regular card, complete the Truemed health assessment, and submit your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. The same LMN covers recurring subscription charges for up to 12 months, so you only need to qualify once per year.
Is there any cost to use Truemed?
